Robert S. Hoffer

Robert Stephen Hoffer (Bob) passed away unexpectedly on March 6, 2023, in Bensalem, PA. Bob was born on October 29, 1962, in Tonopah, Nevada and following his father’s Air Force retirement, grew up in Williamstown, NJ. After graduating from Williamstown High School, Bob joined the US Army, serving as a food service specialist in assignments in Georgia and Germany. After leaving the Army in 1986, Bob worked several jobs, but focused principally on the printing trade, which seemed to suit him best. Over the years he mastered a number of legacy and modern printing presses and processes. He worked at Evergreen Printing Company in Bellmawr, NJ and was recently promoted back to First Pressman.

Bob lived in Bensalem PA for a number of years, was hard working and willing to help out wherever he could. Bob was an avid reader, loved animals, and his hobbies included passionately following NASCAR, the Eagles and Phillies, cooking for friends and family, and visiting flea markets. Bob was smart, impatient, funny, and irreverent. He told compelling, if dark, stories. His quick wit and knowledge of diverse subjects could always be counted on to liven up a conversation. He spent many weekends in Maryland enjoying time with his sister’s family.

Bob was preceded in death by his former wife, Jacqueline, his parents Marie (née Tiernan) and Theodore Hoffer, and his brother Paul. Bob is survived and lovingly remembered by sisters, Joanne Maits and Nancy Licata (Jerome), brother Theodore Hoffer (Kina), nieces Susan, Joanna and Larissa, and nephews Theo, Cole, Salvatore, and Kilian. Bob is also remembered by numerous, long-term friends including Robert Blackiston. A spring service to honor Bob is planned.
