Mary Ellen Gibson

Mary Ellen Rose Gibson (Wolfington) passed away after an extended illness on May 14th, 2024, at the age of 79.  A long-time resident of Horsham, Pennsylvania, Mary Ellen was born and raised in Roxborough, Pennsylvania, and attended Roxborough High School.  She spent over 20 years working for Aetna, where she met her husband, Bob Gibson, and later Santander Bank.  She and Bob enjoyed annual vacations in Maine, where they biked and kayaked, visited Cape Cod and Long Beach Island, and visited the Poconos. She enjoyed nature and loved sitting by the stream behind her house, watching the birds and animals that made that habitat their own.  Mary Ellen was predeceased by her brothers, Charles and James Wolfington, and her late husband, Robert Gibson.  She is survived by her sister Frances Burd (Rich), her nephew Ronald Tumolo (Jocelyn), her friend Brian Anderson, her sister-in-law Bonnie Gibson, her stepchildren Jennifer Wallace, BJ Gibson, and Catherine Levine, and seven step-grandchildren.

Services will be held at St. Catherine of Siena, 321 Witmer Road, Horsham, PA 19044, on May 16, 2024. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM, with mass at 11 AM.
