John H. Lee

John Henry Lee of Doylestown passed away peacefully on April 10, 2024 after losing his battle with cancer. John was a loving husband, father and grandfather. John leaves behind his wife of 49 years Geri (Laskowski) Lee, daughters Corinne Liberatore and Nicole Lee, son in laws John Liberatore and Albert Cornog, and two grandchildren; Jackson Blake Liberatore and Ava Grace Liberatore. John was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 5, 1950 to William and Mary (Dingler) Lee.  John was one of 5 children.  He is survived by his brothers James, William, Richard Lee and his sister Patricia Marks.  John was a graduate of the class of 1968 from Father Judge High School.  At the age of 16 he began working as a messenger for Mayfair Jewelers in Philadelphia, soon he learned the business as a sales associate and eventually became an owner of the Philadelphia and Newtown, PA stores.  John received a business degree from Bucks County Community College and furthered his career in the Jewelry industry as a certified gemologist and appraiser.  After years as a partner, John opened his own business, J. Henry Jewelers in Landsdale, PA, where he worked alongside Geri and his daughters. In addition to his work as a jeweler, John served as a member of the United States Navy.  During his time in the military he fought in the Vietnam War as a part of the Brown Water Navy.  After retiring from the Jewelry industry, John volunteered his time as a member of the Guardians of the National Cemetery in Washington’s Crossing, PA. He was also an active member of the VFW Post 20 in Philadelphia. John lived with his family for over 40 years in Feasterville, PA before moving with his wife, Geri, to Doylestown, PA. In his free time, John liked to spend time with his family, travel, exercise, read, and enjoy the beauty of his backyard. John will be deeply missed. Calling hour for John will begin at 10 AM on April 24, 2024 at Our Lady of Guadeloupe Roman Catholic Church 5194 Cold Spring Creamery Road Doylestown, PA 18902. An 11 AM mass will follow.  Interment will take place on the same day at the Washington’s Crossing National Cemetery (830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940) at 1:30 PM. Participants should arrive by 1:15 PM.
