Geraldine D. Mcgrath

Geraldine “Gerry”  McGrath died peacefully in her sleep at home, with family nearby, on September 12, 2023. She is survived by her four children: Loretta McGrath (Tawnya Laveta), P. Christopher McGrath, Matt McGrath, and Julie Bartol; grandchildren: Matthew McGrath (Colleen McGrath), Amber Bartol, Dakota Bartol, and Wyatt Bartol; her new great-granddaughter, Saylor Rose McGrath; sisters: Isabelle Rzeszutek and Cathy Gramlich (Mike Sullivan); brother: Joe Gramlich (Renee Gramlich); many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends, especially Rose Huber and Pauline Bailey. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Gerald and Isabella Gramlich, brother James Gramlich, brother-in-law Ron Rzeszutek and son-in-law, Patrick Bartol.

Gerry graduated from St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Warrington and Cardinal Dougherty High School in Philadelphia. Her professional career as an administrator spanned over 35 yrs, most prominently at Henkels & McCoy, and the non-profit and banking/finance sectors.

Having deep empathy for the suffering of others, Gerry served community members as a guide and mentor, providing wise and gentle counsel to those in need. Gerry’s life revolved around her family and friends, her love and care of her land, home, and flowers, time at the beach, and reading novels in quiet moments. She will be remembered as a woman of great faith, tenacity, resilience, resourcefulness and humility. Above all, Gerry loved and cared for many people, had a deep love of life, of square dancing with friends, attending cultural events and of appreciating the beauty of the natural world & seasons.

Relatives and friends may greet Gerry's family from 10:00am. until the start of her Funeral Mass at 11:00am, on Saturday September 23, 2023 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 856 Euclid Ave. Warrington, PA 18976 with interment to follow immediately at St. John Neumann Cemetery, 3797 County Line Rd. Chalfont PA .

Relatives and friends are also invited to join in celebration of Gerry’s life following her interment, at her favorite Italian eatery, Giuseppe’s Pizza & Family Restaurant, 1380 W. Street Rd., Warminster, PA from 1:30-3:30 pm.
