Charles W Rich Jr (Chick/Pop) of Warminster passed away on November 20, 2024. Charles was born on June 8, 1945 to the late Charles Rich Sr. and Marian Dearden. Charles is survived by his sister Geanna Clark(Glenn) and brother Herb Wilcox Jr. Charles was a devoted Son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin, and a friend . He was an uncle and a great uncle to his sister children James Clark(Georgiana), Amanda Rogers,(Adam). Great uncle to Zoe and Sophia.
Charles was a beloved husband to the late Paulette Rich. They married in Warminster Pennsylvania on August 24, 2002. They were together for 39 wonderful years. Together they had combined their Children as one whole family. Annette Page(Michael Sr), Charles Rich Sr (Tina),Jonathan Rich Sr(Debbie), the late Mark Rich Sr(Cheri) Robert Reese Sr, & Patrick Reese.Together they had 18 grandchildren Jennifer Reyes(Chris), Bobby Reese Jr(Ashley), Christina Good(Steve), Charles Rich Jr(Ashley), Michael Page Jr(Jenni), Robert Page, Nicholas Page, Mark Rich Jr(Candice) , Joshua Rich, Cheyenne Harrell(Nate), Nicole Kirk, Jonathan Rich Jr(Krissy) , Christopher Barner, Patty Kosma(Mark) & Kimberly , Katrina Reese, Payton Reese They have 21 great grandchildren,Makaylie Reyes, Late Victoria Reyes, Izabella Reyes, Gabriele Reyes, Mason Reese, Lyla Reese, Allison Rich, Gabriele Reason, Sophia Roberts, and many more.
Charles worked as a Mechanic and welder at U-Haul. He worked there for 42 years. Where he made many long lasting friendships. Everyone called him pops at the U-Haul. Pop retired and every month he went out to breakfast with fellow retirees talking about the years working together and many memories. Charles would feed all of neighbor dogs a biscuit every day. He always had dog bones for his grand pups Gemma, Duke, Cheech , and Chong.
Charles spent many Saturday nights being part of his son Chuck’s racing team. Charles spent many Saturday nights at grandview speedway . Charles loved to volunteered in his community at Warminster Heights. Bingo with Santa, back to school fair, and the Halloween stroll. Charles enjoyed playing bingo with his daughter Annette and his granddaughter Jenn and grandson’s Nick and Michael and son in law Mike. He met so many new people at bingo that he became good friends with. He enjoyed camping at Knoebels for many years. He liked to visit his daughter Annette when she was camping at Tohickon Family Campground. He also enjoyed going to the senior center every Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday playing Quarters, Nickles, Dimes. He absolutely loved taking his great granddaughters Makaylie and Izabella to work. He would pick them up 30 minutes early so they could have there talks. He wouldn’t leave until they were inside. He loved all his great grandchildren. He loved seeing them before prom, cheer competition and special events. He loved visiting Makaylie down at college and seeing her dorm. He would tell everyone how many grandchildren and great grandchildren he had. He loved going to Dana and Dave for there picnics and coming over on Halloween. He enjoyed seeing everyone swim and having a Jell-O shot and having a cold one with everyone. He enjoyed going to his grandchildren house Jenn/Chris, Mike/Jenni, Chrissy/Steve for bbq and seafood boil.
Anyone who came in contact with Charles became a friend. They all knew him as pop and he was considered everyone pops. He gained so many new grandkids. Didn’t matter how young or how old, they all loved their pops.
When Pops wasn’t volunteering or playing bingo or helping anyone out. He was always in his shed. Pops and his grandson Bobby Jr made a trailer from an old camper. He loved teaching his grandchildren anything that had to do with wood. He loved making any kind of wood craft. If you gave him a picture he made it for you. He also enjoyed making his fire starters for anyone who had a fire pit.
Pop's memorial service and life celebration will be held on January 19, 2025, at 1:00 pm, at the Community Center, 75 Downey Dr., Warminster, PA 18974.
